Quin's Top Surgery

Moving Forward.
Life has been a crazy back-road of twists and turns, lately. Almost all in a positive light, so who am I to complain.

I'm working at a great part-time job, with co-workers that are fantastic. My friends and family are all in good health and spirits. Many of my friends are achieving both professional and personal goals, including successful top surgeries! The birds are chirping and the sun is shining.

Possibly one of the largest current highlights, is my attainment of my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Studies from my soon to be Alma Mater, UMKC! Walking across the commencement stage, eight days from now, with my friends and family cheering from the audience will be high on the list of the proudest moments of my life thus far.

On the transition front, I am officially just over one year and four months into my hormone therapy. I am currently in the process setting up two surgical procedures (top surgery and complete hysterectomy) for late July, early August. The surgeries will be performed by Dr. Sukit of Thailand's Yanhee Hospital. This, as with all of my major transition related milestones, is going to be a life journey like no other.

I am fortunate enough to have amazing family and friends that will be there every step of the way to support me emotionally and...probably physically in some instances. Haha.

Financial support is what I am currently in the most need of, as are many others in my position. As I have stated before, every penny counts and your support is appreciated more than I could ever express.

Hope all is well with you and yours!

High spirits and optimistic outlooks.
HEY! Quinten here. Thanks for taking the time to stop by!

Now, if you find yourself here on my ChipIn, chances are you already know the deal.

If not...here's the 411. ChipIn is this AWESOME site that allows individuals/organizations to help collect funds for their cause via amazingly generous and fantastic individuals.

In my case, I've set up a ChipIn to help me raise money for an unfortunately costly medical procedure to immensely better my quality of life. By no means am I trying to say that my life is any struggle by comparison to those who struggle daily to simply survive life. Overall I'd say my life so far has been a blessed one and I am thankful everyday for it.

Basically...my name is Quinten Robert. I'm currently enrolled as a senior at The University of Missouri- Kansas City, and I'm a man in transition. This statement is currently true for many aspects of my life. The most important one for the sake of this particular matter is that I am a transgendered guy. I'm in the process of becoming the best person I can be. For me, some of that includes being comfortable in my own skin. The money I'm trying to raise is for a procedure called a double incision breast reduction and chest masculinization procedure. This procedure will allow me to better cope with the body dysphoria that I deal with on a regular basis.

I will be seeking every avenue possible to help me offset this cost. In the mean time, I've set up this page for all those interested in support to "chip in."

Please be aware that literally every single penny counts. I know that we all run a pretty tight ship when it comes to finances. So please, PLEASE know that I am extremely gracious from the bottom of my heart for every single donation, no matter the size. Words of encouragement to myself and others going through the same life experience often mean more than you know.

Thanks in advance for everything! I'll be updating frequently.

Best,
-Quinten
